Do your maintenance and cleaning on exterior natural teak wood on overcast days, early in the morning, or late in the day, and keep the teak damp through the entire process. Do not allow the wood to dry before all chemicals being used are thoroughly rinsed. After rinsing once, repeat again.

A stubborn oily stain, food stain, soil stain or any hard to get rid of stains can often be removed by dampening the area with water and spraying a liberal amount of Knight's Marine Spray Nine cleaner.  Allow about 3-5 minutes to soak and rinse well.

If your teak products have been overused and look worn out, please note the following information for proper care:

After your next deep cleaning of the boards, first apply two to three coats of Deks OleŽ CLEAR, matte sealer. Wipe with clean rags between each coat, allowing the coats no more than 15-20 minutes to soak in. Let the final coat cure for 48 hrs. When fully cured, go over the entire surface with 000 bronze wool, working with the grain of the wood. This will take whatever "shine" is left away. Now, oil as usual. After the oil has cured to the point that it is sticky, wipe off the excess.
